TMC technology supplier TripStax is to rebrand Hotelzon as TripStax Hotels when it will become its ninth module in its tech stack.
TripStax, which purchased Hotelzon from Travelport in December 2022, added that TripStax Hotel will be officially launched in the final quarter of this year when it will form part of the TripStax Core alongside its other modules.
The hotel platform will offer 1.5 million properties from multiple sources including GDS, aggregators, direct connections and its own extranet.
The company said the new hotel module would be “another major milestone” following TripStax's creation last year after being spun off as a standalone company by ATPI Group. TripStax also acquired online booking platform TapTrip last year.
Marika Karjalainen, previously head of customer service at Hotelzon, will be managing director of TripStax Hotels and will also join the TripStax leadership team.
Jack Ramsey, CEO of TripStax, said: “We are constantly looking at ways to enhance our tech offering to our customers with relevant solutions that can be easily embedded into the Core proposition.
“We’re proud to be able to link TripStax Hotels within the wider TripStax ecosystem and drive the next evolution of what is already a fantastic team and set of products.”
