Indian airline Vistara is to add a new European route this summer connecting London with the business hub of Mumbai.
Vistara will launch the London Heathrow-Mumbai service on 1 June with five flights per week. The airline already flies from Heathrow to Delhi, as well as operating services from Frankfurt and Paris Charles de Gaulle airports to Delhi.
Vinod Kannan, Vistara’s CEO, said: “The launch of this new route is a reflection of our customers’ growing preference for Vistara, for travel between India and the UK.
“We look forward to further expanding our presence in Europe, especially with more wide-body aircraft joining our fleet in the coming months.”
Vistara, which is a joint venture between Singapore Airlines and Indian conglomerate Tata, agreed to merge with rival Indian carrier Air India in November 2022.
The new service between London and Mumbai will be served using a new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with three cabins. Flights will operate on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
