The serviced apartment agency business of BridgeStreet in the EMEA and APAC regions has been acquired by National Corporate Housing in the US.
The acquisition follows the collapse into administration this week of BridgeStreet Accommodations London Limited, which owned and operated a number of BridgeStreet branded apartments in the UK, including in London and Liverpool.
Earlier in the year, BridgeStreet closed its branded and operated properties in the US but those in the UK and Europe continued despite the Covid pandemic. The acquisition does not affect BridgeStreet's US operations.
Cara Lingle, who has been senior vice president of BridgeStreet Global Business Solutions since September, will continue to lead the BridgeStreet team in EMEA and APAC.
National Corporate Housing was founded in 1999 and provides fully furnished, temporary housing throughout the United States, Canada, EMEA, APAC, and Latin America, including serviced apartments.
Tom Atchison, National's chief executive officer, said, "We know that BridgeStreet’s and National's service models are highly compatible, and we're confident that guests and clients alike will benefit from the two organisations coming together."
