Italian travel management company Cisalpina Tours has opened a new service centre in Naples, its first in Southern Italy.
The TMC’s newest office will largely service clients in Southern Italy and marks its seventh outpost in the country, joining offices in Turin, Milan, Rome, Padua, Bolzano and Rimini.
Part of the Bluvacanze Group, Cisalpina’s Naples office is the latest move in the group’s aggressive growth plans, which include expansion into New York, Santos (Brazil), Izmir (Turkey), Cyprus and Hamburg in 2023, while new offices in Paris, Madrid, London and Geneva “preparing to begin operations”, according to the company.
As well as expanding its international footprint, the TMC in June introduced a new self-booking tool for clients. Known as ‘MyTico’, the tool includes aggregated multi-GDS content from air, rail, car and accommodation providers and also integrates travel and cost authorisation processes and expense reporting.
“The company is projected towards a growth horizon along three directions: internationalisation, digitalisation and sustainability,” said Bluvacanze CEO Domenico Pellegrino
“We are opening offices in 10 foreign markets to acquire new customers in business travel and high-profile tourism, we have launched the first digital application that radically changes the relationship between travellers and travel agencies and we plan a future of carbon neutrality which will take time, but already fills us with confidence for a better tomorrow for us all,” he added.
Cisalpina Tours manages business travel for 800 clients, both national and international, with approximately 2 million travel transactions per year, according to the company.
The TMC is ranked 3rd largest in Italy and 15th in Europe according to BTN Europe’s Leading TMCs 2023 report.
