FCM Consulting has appointed Glenn Thorsen as its new sustainability lead who will head up a dedicated practice to help clients achieve their environmental targets.
Denmark-based Thorsen, formerly head of partnerships for sustainability specialist Thrust Carbon, will take up his new role with FCM in early September.
Thorsen’s appointment is the first structural change to be made by FCM Consulting head Jo Lloyd as she “reshapes” the business.
Lloyd said: “Glenn’s entrepreneurial mindset, passion and deep knowledge of this incredibly important area will be invaluable in supporting our customers on their sustainability journeys.
“As the customer and industry facing voice of the sustainability pillar within FCM Consulting, he will apply his considerable expertise to help our clients get the best out of their programmes and achieve their goals. I know he will make an immediate impact.”
Alongside his consulting responsibilities, Thorsen will also support FCM’s internal sustainability efforts. He will work with global sustainability officer Michelle Degenhardt who is developing and overseeing strategies to deliver on the TMC’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives.
Degenhardt added: “Sustainability is an area that is extremely important to FCM, its people, customers and partners. I am thrilled to welcome Glenn to our global team of experts as we build upon our vast array of programmes and initiatives and progress towards a better, more sustainable future.”
