Amsterdam-based accommodation distribution specialist Katanox has partnered with UK hospitality technology provider Guestline to allow hotels to distribute directly to Katanox's “demand partners”.
Through the partnership, accommodation providers using Guestline can integrate with the Katanox platform and select the demand partners they wish to contract with directly, including establishing a commission percentage. Bookings will then be pushed to the Guestline platform as Katanox handles the reconciliation.
Richard Moseley, VP of hotel partnerships at Katanox, said: “Guestline is a major player in the UK market, so it was essential for us to integrate with their PMS (property management system) to ensure we’re providing our customers and partners with the best possible opportunities.
“This integration enables us to provide travel management companies (TMCs) with quality supply while granting our hospitality partners access to direct demand and the ability to build long-lasting relationships with demand partners.”
Katanox integrates with PMSs and central reservation systems, as well as payment providers to enable the management of rates, inventory, availability and payment through an API rather than global distribution systems (GDSs).
In September, Katanox announced a partnership with travel management company ArrangeMy for direct booking capabilities.
James Cannon, sales and marketing director at Guestline, added: “We pride ourselves in arming our customers with the latest and most innovative opportunities to improve and grow their business.”
