Travel management company CTM has doubled the size of its UK sales team in the past six months, including the appointment of industry veteran Julian Mills as SVP of sales strategy and transformation.
Mills, who has previously held roles at Direct ATPI Global Travel, Travelport, Amadeus and Traveldoo, becomes part of a 13-strong UK sales team at CTM.
Other new recruits include Gemma Todman who joins CTM as VP of sales, while Amy Edmonds becomes director of business development.
Shelley Mathews, CTM’s EVP of business development EMEA,said: “We have – and we still are – investing heavily in creating the best TMC sales team in the business.
“With our incredible technology, customer service, global reach, ROI (return on investment) and a sales team that has expert knowledge across every corporate sector, I’m in no doubt we will be very busy in the year ahead.”
Mills said of his decision to join the TMC: “CTM’s global proposition aligns closely with my experience working with leading TMCs over the last 35 years and, as a technologist, I am hugely impressed with the business’s proprietary tech, especially CTM’s OBT Lightning.
“On their own, these were tempting reasons to join the team but it’s the company’s culture and people that swayed it for me. As soon as I met the team, I felt confident my own style of leadership skills and strategic thinking would be a great fit and vice versa.”
Todman has more than a decade’s experience of working within the corporate travel and technology industry, including roles at American Express Global Business Travel and Uber for Business.
Edmonds joins CTM from Reed & Mackay and has also held positions at Clarity and Agito during her 17-year career in the business travel sector.
