Kathryn Robertson will lead the carrier's domestic and international sales teams
Qantas has appointed Kathryn Robertson to the role of executive manager – global sales and distribution.
Robertson will oversee the airline’s combined domestic and international sales team and “work closely” with regional general managers in overseas markets.
Acknowledging the carrier’s recent setbacks, Robertson said she will work to restore relationships with both corporate and trade partners, according to reports in local travel trade press.
Based in Sydney, Robertson joins the Australian national carrier with more than 30 years’ experience in the aviation and travel industries. She is currently the chief commercial officer at Carnival Australia and, prior to this role, spent more than 13 years in a range of senior commercial positions at Air New Zealand.
Robertson replaces Igor Kwiatkowski, who moved to lead the carrier’s freight business last October.
