Digital travel management solutions provider TouristMobile has named Torsten Kriedt to a newly-created position as durable growth officer, as the company pushes to expand its market presence through and beyond Europe.
Kriedt formerly held senior executive roles at BCD Travel and its consultancy Advito. He currently leads advisory firm Solesa Venture Services and will serve TouristMobile from that company.
TouristMobile, which aims to streamline the business travel experience through its digital platform, has seen a 150 per cent year-over-year increase in trip volume managed through its tech in the first half of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021. Volumes are up 45 per cent on the same period in 2019.
“As companies return to travel, they see how they need to provide a unified experience across the entire life cycle of the trip. Travel managers are being challenged on the value of their travel programme if travellers have to rely on the fragmented digital solutions by their online booking tool and travel management company, especially if they use various partners across business units and regions,” said Kriedt in a statement.
“We are seeing a surge of interest in a company branded digital platform that integrates the various partners and provides workflows, messaging and nudges around compliance, sustainability, and duty of care, independent of the booking channel, agency and mode of transport.
"I’m pleased for Solesa and me personally to be supporting TouristMobile, where a small and agile team has created a powerful enterprise platform that is still truly independent and with a leadership team that is actively addressing sustainability.”
"This is an exciting time for TouristMobile as we expand our offering to complex enterprise clients and our business travel ecosystem partners," said CEO Marina Hegemann.
