EasyHotel is to continue its European expansion by opening a second property in Paris next month.
The Paris Nord Aubervilliers hotel, which will be located close to the Front Populaire metro station, will be easyHotel’s third property in France – the brand already operates at Charles de Gaulle airport and in the south coast city of Nice.
The budget chain’s new Paris hotel will feature 180 rooms and is based in the JUMP complex development, which uses a natural ventilation system to help reduce its carbon footprint.
Karim Malak, CEO of easyHotel, said: “The Parisian hotel market is very competitive, meaning the average price of a night’s stay remains relatively high. Affordable accommodation has a real opportunity to appeal to all types of customers.
“Our mission, as we look to double our portfolio by 2026, is to ensure cities are accessible both financially and in terms of well-located hotels.”
EasyHotel last year acquired eight properties in the Netherlands and Belgium as part of its European expansion plans. The chain currently offers 44 hotels in 11 countries, including a new property in Dublin, which made its debut last month.
