Reed & Mackay chief operating officer Julie Oliver has additionally been appointed the TMC's CEO for Europe
Travel management company Reed & Mackay has named Julie
Oliver its CEO for Europe.
Oliver will maintain her existing role of chief operating
officer but will now additionally lead the company’s business across mainland
Europe. She joined the TMC in July 2019 when it acquired Business Travel Direct
(BTD) where she had been managing director.
Reed & Mackay’s footprint in mainland Europe includes wholly
owned offices in Germany and France, plus partners in other key cities. The company was acquired by TripActions in May 2021.
Oliver will continue to report to Reed & Mackay’s group CEO,
Fred Stratford, and will work alongside its wider global executive team
including Jane Warren, CEO, APAC and John Keichline, CEO, North America.
In addition, Julia Vulcain, CEO, France, will report directly
to Oliver, with Vulcain taking on wider responsibility with
the leadership team in Germany. The TMC's UK business will continue to report directly to Stratford.
Stratford said: “I’m thrilled to extend
Julie’s remit to lead our businesses in mainland Europe. As global chief operating
officer, Julie already leads our operational teams and groups, meetings and events
services across the globe. Extending Julie’s leadership to our businesses in
mainland Europe was a natural next step as we lay strong foundations to support
Reed & Mackay’s next phase of growth in this region.”
Stratford added that the TMC is witnessing
“considerable growth across Europe”. He continued: “As travel volumes return, we have an
exciting opportunity to take our European strategy to the next level, focusing
on greater content reach, advanced data analytics and a consistent and
extraordinary service across the region.”
